The rally was spearheaded by heavyweight stocks:
- Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd climbed 78 sen to RM97.00
- IHH Healthcare Bhd advanced 37 sen to RM7.92
- PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd gained 28 sen to RM23.22
