Investors stayed on the sidelines in the absence of fresh domestic catalysts, with attention now turning to the upcoming U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data for cues on the Federal Reserve’s next policy move.
The FBM KLCI slipped 1.19 points to close at 1,598.47, after touching an intraday low of 1,595.04 and high of 1,600.89. Market breadth was positive, with 588 gainers against 472 losers, while turnover stayed steady at 3.55 billion shares worth RM2.76 billion.
